A missed opportunity.

Spark arrives with food..

He stands there for a few minutes, looking around...I guess expecting Durand to appear like she usually does.

Zoom eventually comes out of the shadows...I can imagine that she is probably yelling..They both actually move back and forth

Spark then moves to the edge, and I think, "Oh goodie, he's gonna get to feed the baby"..

Nope..

Zoom then appears to head to the nest box area...maybe she thinks she has to get fed there. Spark does head in that direction..but after about a minute, he takes off

After a couple of minutes, Zoom reappears from the shadows, probably wondering where the heck her food went..

She since has moved back into the shadows and no body has returned for a feed..

Ya know, I have to wonder with some of these males and very dominant females. I think Spark was "allowed" to feed maybe twice? After that, Durand always took the food from him and I guess he's learned feeding is not his job? I think this is such a shame and have watched the same scenario play out with the new chick at Salt Lake City. Lousy practice if you ask me...Come on Spark...assert yourself!!!

A parent just landed and headed to the box (in it or on top..not sure)...I wasn't paying attention, so don't know if they brought food..

Nestbox cam is up! Boy Zoom really has rapidly changing plumage!!

Box cam is starting/stopping..guess they are still working on it...but,look who I found

I'm not getting audio, though

I'm not really sure this feed happened...by the time I got to the box cam, I don't think Zoom was even in there...or maybe it was over...I have no clue...but Durand left with quite a bit left..I guess she wants Zoom to watch her figure..

Currently, Zoom is at the side of the box and Durand on the ledge...looks windy..lets hope zoom doesn't choose today to get up on the ledge..YIKES
