Available *free* at Alberta fish and wildlife offices (the SRD half of ESRD) while supplies last. Picked mine up today at the Twin Atria Building in Edmonton. Calendar has 1 big and 3 smaller pictures for each month and comes pre-marked with important wildlife dates (such as April 14 "Edmonton's peregrine falcons usually arrive.")

Happy New Year! cat

Thank-you for the welcome, Beth. I did post before but that post is now in the archives and the post count is now back to 1! A lot of us may look new for a bit :)

I hope this was the right place to put the calandar notice - it is a bit off topic but only of interest to those in Alberta and I figure Calgary and Red Deer enthusiasts also check the Edmonton nests, right?.
:thankyou

Hi CAt.

I remember you form last year.

I will have to look for that calendar.

Our birds at U of A are usually back end of March, beginning of April unless a severe weather pattern on way home. but that is if same birds return. We never know

WEber is usually back a few weeks later.

I just had an e-mail form Gord and they are working on cams this week. We will only have one at U of A but it is to be better. fingers crossed. Gord is looking for a new cover for our white platform also.

1080 p HD cameras on Bell and U of A (one camera only). The feeds will be livestream (no commericals and no delay) and in HD, so the pictures will be much better. they will use hard line feeds as we had too much trouble with wireless( I do not understand nay o f this)

He said no outside work after this week so as not to disturb birds as last year.

I had e-mailed him with all my concerns.
I am just happy to have a cam. It makes it easier for me.

they are looking into "Weber also if they can find someone it let them use their feed. I have made a few suggestion sot him

Oh my!!! I am not ready for this yet . :sum4: :sum4:

but whoever it isi , it is in vicinity or passing through. I will not be able to check again till Monday but Jean is Right there and I notified her

Peter and I will try and do a map of area this year to post next to link.

Happy EAster

u of a april3

well we went down late last night . we saw a falcon on antennae o f Windsor apt. seems bigger so we were thinking female . but whoever is familiar with area and tucked in in usual place.
It then flew over to west top Maz building across from nest box as ravens passed through.
just as peter was trying to scope it , it flew behind as it was chasing off ravens. We called Jean and we drove and found falcon on back(N) of Maz .
It then flew off toward Windsor and tucked in.
Jean got a better picture earlier in evening around 5pm on Maz. she said it was in nest box briefly

now for another one and we have to Id . I am saying Radisson but who knows. have to see bands and I could not
We will go earlier this evening. DArn cool out

We checked out Weber the other day ad nothing but will keep checking

jeans picture from her building

U of A april4

Went down last nihgt. Still one falcon but we are positive it is Radisson. But unless we get band numbers we cannot say OUT LOUD LOL

same MO and tail and actions and she goes to same places. She was buys clearing ravens out of area . Lots of fast flying and lots of hits on ravens. Just warning them , she is back LOL
but we woke up to snow this morning and it si still coming down so it may delay a few falcons

here are a few picutres Will post more later
