Third falcon MICHAEL - a female - fledged monday june, 3rd at 5.51 a.m. Weather now dry and fine. So we hope all are well and in the air. Yesterday one tiercel was reported sitting on the roof of a hotel " Goldener Hecht", very near to river Neckar! Due to a week of strong rain the river flowed the streets in this area, so we hope the fledglings will not come down and will not be washed away with the flood.... |

Thanks for that report, Hans-martin..and it certainly explains why I found nobody in the box this morning.. This is terrible about your flooding...I hope you and the falcons stay safe and dry!!! |

Last two weeks we saw only the fledged female. Yesterday I saw - hooray! - two "brown" Peregrine falcons on top of Jesuitenkirche 500 mtrs from Heiliggeistkirche, - the usual place where the fledged juveniles in the last 13 years stayed waiting for their parents with prey to arrive. At the same time a bigger Pf perched on top of Heiliggeistkirche. I could not decide wether it was an adult one or the third juvie. IF it had been a parent of the two juvies on top of Jesuitenkirche, those two would have flown to mum or dad begging for food. So I presume I finally discovered the trio well alive! Two tiercels (JÖRG & KARL-FRIEDRICH) on Jesuitenkirche and MICHAEL on Heiliggeistkirche 500 mtrs apart... Now we have here finally very hot & sunny weather - now at 5 pm 33°C/91°F - but in large parts of Germany- cities & villages are flooded. But in Berlin BO & Michelle won´t need boots this evening.
