Welcome to the NEW Solar Powered MN Bound Bald eagle nest cam. (If you followed this nest in 2012, this is the home of Harmon)

This eagle nest is located in south central Minnesota, 75 feet in the air. The camera is 100% powered by solar energy. It is equipped with audio and pan tilt zoom features. The video feed streams to the internet via Broadband Corp's wireless network.

When I opened the cam, Dad was quite upset...Lots of posturing and alarm calling...Obviously, an intruder in the area. The shadow at the bottom of the pic are wings...I don't know if they belong to mom landing or the intruder landing....

Finally, the cam operator started panning...I later found out in chat (which is NOT located with the cam) that this is Mom.

Both were really vocalizing, but video/audio were way out of sync...once mom landed on the nest with dad, all was quiet...LOL

Really had to lighten so you could kinda/sorta see the chick...

Mom soon took over and all was calm again...
