OK...egg explanation...and I am so glad I missed this...(they were talking about it on chat)

Dad brought in a duck and in the process of defeathering and cleaning, out pops an egg (I guess this has happened before)

I swear, I don't think I will ever get used to the prey that is brought in...especially this time of year. If that duck had already started nesting, that is one clutch that will not hatch... :girlsad3:

I try to not think of these things too hard or often..or I'd have to stop watching cams...

4/27/2014 Sad loss of the youngest eaglet at MN Bound

Today, sadly, we lost the littlest one at MN Bound. Named "Skye", it is unknown what happened. My understanding is that the little one was eating earlier, and then simply stopped moving a while later. ((Hugs)) to all who love this nest.
