Ditto!!! Several years ago rosekk17, Beth, Susan, etc., tried to generate interest in a fledge watch. It didn't fly (no pun intended)...I tried to do the same here in Atlanta, with no luck..

On the plus side and from what I understand, the businesses in the general vicinity of the Rhodes tower are well aware of the falcons, fledging, etc. I don't think this takes the place of an actual watch though.

Good grief...not a good day to try out your wings...well, Hopefully Hoshi is safe somewhere and the rain will keep her grounded...

Hey..maybe she only made it as far as the next ledge over or down 1 ledge..

I really do think she left this am...I had the cam up this a.m. and like everyone else have not seen her.
The rain might slow her down.

I'm just mad at myself that I didn't open the cam sooner...if I knew she left on purpose, I would feel a lot better...

Waiting for information is really gonna be tough...

Oh boy I feel like a fledge may have happened. I remember zoom seemed to have fallen off as a fledge. Hoshi, being such a daredevil, may have fledged a bit early but generally most folks both in the rhodes tower and most folks in the area are good about being vigilant. The question is if Hoshi did fledge, where the little one landed. If it is on top if another building it would be hard for workers and pedestrians to notice.

Boy I'm just a ball of worry over here though. If I wasn't working I would be right over there looking!!

Ok. I'm taking an exercise break. I've been cam surfing too much and stuffing my face because of nerves due to a variety of things. I promised myself I was going to exercise every day for 30 days. Day 3. Want to get it done early so I can't come up with some lame butt excuse of why not to get on the elliptical for 20 min.

The positive side of this is if she did fledge and locals are vigilant, then she should be okay. If she is grounded, and they are familiar with the falcons, they will call animal control and get her some help. If she is on a roof, Durand or Spark will feed her, as long as they can find her. Hopefully she landed high enough to give her an opportunity to get some lift. And if she does have good wings, she may just make it back up to the ledge before the other siblings leave. That's the good thing about having more than 1, IMO.

So, I feel better with your post Dave and feel more optimistic that people in the tower, and other buildings know about the family.

Well, I have no doubt she has fledged...been sounding THAT alarm all morning...just hope it was on purpose. thanks for assuring us that the area folks are vigilant, anowlwithknees. I know that ODNR provides contact numbers to the area folks..and they have called in the past. I can only imagine how tough it is to even see the ledge from the ground...not to mention the tops of the surrounding buildings...If memory serves me, they like to head toward the Le Veque (not sure I spelled that correctly)..Sure would have been nice if she had glided toward the state building..

Sure thing! I'm fairly certain that if Hoshi took flight someone would notice. I'll keep
My eyes out in local media for anything as well, perhaps we can find out this way as well.

Well, that sounds somewhat promising that she left on her own accord! And, I'm okay with her staying put for a day or two. Will give her more time to grow those feathers!

I was definitely planning to go downtown this afternoon - if Anowlwithknees can not walk around on his lunch hour maybe I can head down but I could only stay for a short time before I had to head back to work - it takes me about a half hour to get there - I hope Hoshi is ok

I checked older posts from here. From pictures posted on May 9 and 10 Hoshi appears to be the first hatch. That white fluffy one has the blue feet and the tan curly ones have yellow feet.
