Hi skygirlblue!
Very quickly - Amber and I stopped by Red Wing on Friday and watched the box from the levee. Both falcons were there doing normal falcon things - she was hanging out in the box and he was perched a little distance away, facing the river.

We don't know her parents, but here is what we do know. Brian Ratcliff banded her at the Nipigon river mouth (N 48.97219, W 88.24284 ) on June 24 of 2011. She was 25 days old, which puts hatch on May 31 and egg-laying in late April. She hasn't been recorded at any other nests. She is roughly 365 straight-line miles from her natal nest, although my guess would be that she would have flown around the western side of Lake Superior. There are a number of different migration choices from there.

I'm still hopeful for eggs here this week given everything we have seen. I've only seen one other sterile female at any of our nests so while it happens, it isn't common.

I posted over on RRP I was going to call her Missy,
as that is what I've been calling her.
I didnt interpret that she was banded as Miss canada

Missy is my vote

I had just seen where Amy had referred to her as Miss Canada (Amy being RRP, monitor of this nest)..I knew that wasn't her official name...I'll just refer to her as resident female or Mom (hopefully) since we don't have a banding name...unless the viewers of the nest (on BCAW) wish to propose names that we can agree on. That's what we are doing with the female at the Richmond nest. VA NEVER names their birds..LOL...
