Such a shame that they have lost a chick. The website stated that the chick died the morning of 6/4. They suspect Trich....In the olden days when we had time and didn't have a cazillion cams, we, as viewers, would have probably caught this and politely bombarded them with emails.

I, for one, will add this cam to my daily check list to see how the remaining chick is doing and if it is eating ok. MN DNR has a strict hands off policy so I'm not sure if they would intervene if alerted..

What a shame, baby could have been helped. Sure, we have many cams to watch and I agree we might have caught it but why was nobody at the site watching out for them?

Good point...Trich would have been progressive and obvious. I remember when one of the kids got it at HBG. It was obvious that something was wrong...we could see it...but, it didn't happen over night. Since I was so behind with this cam and didn't see it, makes me wonder if "they" were watching the progression and hoped for the best, or were just making a guess, etc.

Anyway, I'm checking this cam every day I can.
