This cam is awful - blurry - fuzzy
but Im spoiled by the GSB cam :biggrin:

It is very irritating!! (and someone has finally returned..I think the male)

Bullet: b/r A/41...

Could be Bullet (female). I believe Amy mentioned that possibility on RRP. We need the second bottom number to know for sure.
(also for future reference, let's try to keep specific questions to that particular nests...otherwise, it could get quite confusing for somebody just glancing at the last post...)

6 am Male comes, she leaves, I saw the exchange - it was VERY FAST -
I thot the low light might reveal how many eggs. Nope
Nothing but a blur. Perhaps cam is out of focus.

Here's a clear pic of the four eggs, well as clear as it ever gets anyway. (not counting the two against the wall) That King is never clear.

Good grief, the little male came in to cover the eggs and suddenly the female appeared and raised holy heck until he got up.

They really are cute!! Maybe someday the XCEL cams will get good cams too..

We are hoping to get new cams in King - that was one of Bob's pet sites. We are in active discussion with Xcel to plan and deploy HD equipment, including sound! :egg17:

On the fourth egg. This is a toughie, because I really respect Sky's observation talents and BCAW is a good place for information (we are probably going with phpBB since SMF, our forum software, sin't manageable under the current circumstances). However, falcons usually lay eggs roughly two days apart (I'm trying to remember if it is 42 or 48 hours apart. This is one of those times I really miss Bob). So we could have a fourth egg on the fourth, but it seems unlikely unless egg three came on the second and not the third.

On a fifth egg: We had four here last year, but that doesn't mean we couldn't have five. However, I am having a really hard time telling just looking in the box! I need to remember to check early in the day and hope she is off them when I do!

Thanks for the caps, notes, and comments! They are so helpful to me as I try to round everything up!

Thanks for sharing the info on king...

and here's my take on King and eggs...

I figured out how 4 eggs would work with King...if there are indeed 4 eggs..(I also explained it a few pages back) and you can see the estimated dates on the calendar.

guess it will be a wait and see on King..cuz I have very limited viewing time this year so I have moved on from counting and worrying about the # of eggs at king..LOL

It is usually 48-72 hrs between falcon egg lay...most females fall in the middle range, but some are like clock work and lay every 48/49 hrs.
