2 CHICKS
May 14
6 am I'd say 2 chicks will be it for 2018
I dont see any chance for the other 2
First hatch May 8, big spread

Michelle is getting old.
She isnt acting like the bird of several years ago, in several ways.
She has been a GREAT mom - astonishing in some ways, like 2017, when she pulled her young back inside when it nearly fell

I hope these 2 chicks survive to fledge in this new nestbox.
Is that cedarwood? That repels bugs.

Terka, nice pics :15heartbeat:

On on-line BCAW, Michelle fed the chicks and the little one got hardly anything. Its interesting you think age had something for do with it Shepherd, because usually the top-shelf moms are those with experience. Maybe she fell on her head & is brain-damaged.

Thanks Terka. Here are some pics from yesterday that I didn't get a chance to post. The older chick 66P is a little lighter in color than the younger one. These two are so adorable.

642pm - The older sister perched - well feathered out. Very close to fledging.
Image

655pm - The younger sister woke up and is on the right with still some fluff showing.
