QUESTION
2 other cams I am watching,
the female doesnt want to be in the nestbox with the male.
How necessary is it that the pair do the peep n bow?
its kinda like, -
I'll have your babies but I wont live with you.

It seems very odd to me
anyone have thots?

What cams are you referring to, Shep? If one of the pair is new, he/she may not feel comfortable going into the box to bond~yet. Bonding doesn't always occur "in" the box...bonding "in" the box can come later (or not at all)..even with an established pair.

I was afraid to mention which ones.
Chesapeak - Barb n Bo
I still havent seen them inside the nest at the same time -
tho I've seen them on cam at the same time.

And Breezy at Elk River MN - the RRP box
She goes inside, pebbles, swims -
but will NOT be inside with Brook.

The DC eagles made a beautiful nest but no egg.
Now the James River bridge female acts like she doesnt like the bridge
She is a beauty!
Last year Amy mentioned something about a less productive year.
reasons varied

It appears the FEMALE is very in control -
regardless how hard male tries! LOL

Barb and Boh are acting normally...as best as I can tell..

Breezy is new to the box...

RE: James River. If it is the same female (and we think it is), she has been there for years.

You can always ask the questions under the respective threads (and that would be best)...and probably get more answers as those threads have more viewers. Its gonna get crazy everywhere fairly soon, so keeping topics specific will be important.

both fly off with prey

Too bad the sound has quit at King
3 am The Queen sits inside her castle as she has overnite for several days, then she flies off during the day.

In 2017 The Queen laid 4 EGGs on April 6, 8, 11 * 3 hatched
So for her, she isnt late
Her daughter Breezy has already laid 4 eggs at Elk River!

April 8 Temp 19 but COLD
6.45 am It looked like one of the falcons dragged a HUGE bird inside the box and began eating it but left. I really dont know what I saw. Whatever it was still lays inside.
10 am I noticed she'd dragged it out and I got 2 pics before she'd dragged it away
Anyone know what it is? Wish I'd seen how it got in there.
Was the male killing it after it had entered? Dont know
She was having a fit outside
Looks like Kings Junkyard - yuk
I'd like to go up there and LOOK at all that poo - wearing a hazmat suit ....

7 am I got 3 pics - only by DETERMINATION
Cam is not streaming - and it takes several tries to reload - and NO sound
But I got a band!

You have to work at getting the stream up, a lot of refreshing. When it does come up, it streams for about two seconds and stops. I did manage to get a scap of someone in the box though. :loveheart:
