I think Mom and Dad have been trying to get her to fly by not feeding her. Earlier Mom took a fish that Dad delivered and started eating it herself without offering Ollie a bite. Then with half the fish left, Mom took off with it and landed on the other crane. I think Mom was trying to get Ollie to follow her, but it didn't work. Ollie's not going to leave until she's good and ready!

Mom gave in and fed her just now.

 Mom is currently on or about the white sphere on the other crane @ the 1:00 position. You can barely see her. Ollie remains on the nest.

Ollie i Squirt

http://webcam.peregrinus.pl/pl/peregrin ... =60#133663

translated malaguena (Iza)

Ollie and Squirt

Take me under your wing, my beloved Sister,
my adventure has already ended.
I will not fly where you will,
it will be nowhere, but I will be everywhere.

We had some wonderful moments together.
Do you want to fall into world? I flew ...
And although I was not ready yet,
I flew over the Rainbow Bridge.

My little Brother, who faded away so suddenly,
I will spread my wings like large sails
and I will wrap you up at least for a while.
You will always remain fondly in my memory.

:flirty: Saw a video of Oscar bringing Olive a fish. She took off with it and landed on the other crane to eat. Dad stayed on the nest awhile doing nestorations and he covered Squirt with a large piece of bark. No word on the whereabouts of Ollie.

from last night:

August 11, 2017: The family is together at bedtime. Rivet seems content but reminds Richmond she would like another fish.

First hatch date: May 12, 2017
Second hatch date: May 14, 2017

First fledge: July 3, 2017
Second fledge: July 4, 2017 (?)

The chicks are named Whirley and Rivet

Whirley was just learning to fly and she flew away in the night and got injured, was found by a barge crew in the water and taken to Wild Care. Her injuries were too serious for her to recover

 Between 1757 and approx 1759 on timeline of Pioneer Log and Timber you see an osprey fly wide circle around nest 3 different times with an attempt to land on horizontal positioned crane to left of nest unsuccessfully on 3rd fly around. Is this Ollie? You would think Dad would make the landing. Mom is on the nest.
I tried stopping the vid several times as it comes from bottom left during 2nd fly around to check for white-tipped feathers, but I just can't stop it soon enough! :teehee: Maybe one of you can give it a go. Time is top left border of screen. :dancegirl:

I was able to get this screenshot:
Image

Here is the original size, cropped to fit the message board:

And here it is enlarged:

I see a lot of white on the bird's back, but the resolution just isn't there to tell if the feathers are white-tipped or not. But, based on behavior, I'd say it's Ollie. I've never seen adults do laps around an area like this. I have seen the Columbus juvies do this though!

 Thanks vlu328, I agree!!! And check out that white streak in the tail feathers,
we'll have to remember that when she returns. She has it in her rear, night time shots and her "There She Goes" shot, now will have to see if parents have this also! Our work is never done here! :teehee:

I'm disoriented, but Ollie has returned to the nest today and I guess this is a new view.
I went back on timeline and you can see her there! :loveheart2:

 Ollie has been on the nest quite a bit this eve. She has slept, fought with Mom, eaten, etc! :teehee: Check out timeline @ 1655 to see Dad bring in fish that Mom and she fought over (pecked or bit her Mom during the battle) with Ollie being the eventual victor! Then @ 1738 Oscar brought in another fish so Mom could eat! And with this view and lack of smoke, you get to see the mountains in the background! All is well @ Pioneer Log and Timber! And that was Ollie flying around the nest the other day as she has a prominent white streak on left tail feathers!

:taz: Apparently Ollie went after her Dad on Tuesday! They are saying not as bad as the tussle with her Mom though.

was hoping Ollie would fly in, but she didn't.

The Dunrovin osprey cam shows the emerging fires to their right when cam op scans @ approx 9:12 pm on their timeline. I don't think there is a link @ BCAW, but you can type it in and get to it on the internet. In addition to the 2 osprey who are currently perched, this is a horse ranch.
