march12-was very impressed here.
female was off once fo r 90 minutes, I figure feed time. other than that, when she was off it was only for minutes. male brought in a fish real early and she grabbed it and left nest with it. this was only time she was gone for longer than a few minutes. she was gone for 8 minutes.when she leaves he leaves, so he has not got idea to incubate yet. but that will come. at least I think it is female incubating all time. I try and look for band.
sometimes you cannot see male but he i sin tree out of sight , to right of nest. so the cam does no t see him bu ti see him go there.( or you see his shadow.
march13today is even better so far. will post pciutres later. but he brought in a fish again , which she grabbed. so she is more comfortable to do this now.
when I see them call , I am not so sure it is other eagles as he comes in when she calls. He gets real close to her, and normally this would be an exchange . it will come. but she leaves and he follows. they zoom in all the time but they nee d to ask me. LOL
1:05pm- right now she has left after calling him in and he is still there eating leftovers. he sniffed eggs, could not tell i f he rolled them . they are zoomed in. this is time of day she is gone longer( and that is because she is supposed to incubate). he jsu t left to upper branch. there again I saw him go , they did not.he appears ot guard eggs while she is gone.
so it is a wait and see. do not know how long eggs were left before but lengths right now, would d not prevent viability.
so it is a wait and see
if yo u know if they need info. I am keeping track. just do not want to post pages of notes here here are some photos from march13- I really like this male he is acting as he should. He stays with eggs a bit now, but doe snot incubate. this does not surprise me. sometimes yo u do no t see him but he i sin tree to right . they did zoom there today. they heard me LOl
F eating salmon male brought in
he gets right in her face
baby sitting eggs. maybe in a few day she will incubate( we will see)
