Fort St. Vrain: Last evening a raccoon attacked FSV45 violently. It was said the eaglet fought for its life. FSV45 is missing from the nest and they are awaiting word from ground crew I think. It seems most likely this eaglet lost its life, but will watch for further info as they have asked. I do not follow this nest.

FSV45 Still no definite confirmation from site, however only feathers found on the ground by rescuers who were there within 90 minutes of attack last evening. Latest FB post at site.

It it appears that Boswell has lost their youngest...or at least a chick. I could only count 3 the several times I checked today.
