Sequoyah National Wildlife Refuge near Vian, Oklahoma; the webcam that was struck by lightning is replaced and live.
The nest tree is dead so it is very well possible that the Eagles will not use this nest anymore.
Thanks DEF. I have a running list of corrections to make on the eagles forum. I have added Sequoyah to the list!

:15heartbeat: Excerpt from a Ventana Wildlife Society update:

Iniko!
Iniko is doing very well at LA Zoo and has been released in to a larger flight pen with other similar aged condors as well as a few older adult condors that help mentor the young ones. Iniko's leg limp is completely gone and she appears to be 100% healthy at this stage. She will stay in this large flight pen with this group over the next 10 months, strengthening her flight skills and growing more confident as a young condor. She will be brought to our release site next fall 2021 and will get released in mid-November, after a 4-6 week acclimation period in the release pen.

Here is a great picture of a PeFa with unusual bands, all green on both legs. And discolouration of the right back talon. Any one have an idea about where this one was banded?

On welfare grounds the hard decision to euthanise SE26 has been reached.
SE26 would not survive in the wild or do well in captivity.
Further complications are likely to develop even in the short term.”

I am deeply saddened to hear this, but S26 showed us all, what determination can do. He/she really stole my heart. I so wished, but I knew deep down it would come to this. I am so grateful that he/she was captured and did not suffer in the wild.
It is a shame they do not interfere, as this could have been treated early on, but I do not criticize , as all do what they feel is best.

God speed little one. You felt the wind beneath your wings. A lot do not. You gave us all hope , and showed us, that , even if for a short time, determination can conquer .

thanks to all involved .

god Bless

Norfolk Botanical Garden "Rock Star" NZ was found injured and brought to the Wildlife Center Virginia where she grew up with her 2 siblings after Mom was killed in a collision with an airplane in 2011.
Today she was humanely euthanised because her injuries were too severe

This was my favorite eagle nest. I remember the trio well)
I still sponsor buddy from and earlier year. He had a beak problem. A lot of us saw this as he was growing . this was the year our wonderful adult female , had an intruder and an owl attack and she left her first nest but came back and laid an egg in another nest. buddy was from that nest. lots of drama that year . Buddy is an educator bird.

soar high sweet one.
