Hays Cam Update 2/13/2019: The female bald eagle laid her first egg of the season on 2/12/2019 @ 6:45 PM. We can expect to see a second egg on 2/14 or 2/15. Both the male and female will share incubation duties. The camera will be streaming 24/7 now.

we will wait and see how egg goes. yesterday M2 incubated for over and hour. She is not thrilled with him but he is guarding her. He comes to nest bu t does not force interaction. a more of here I am, she whines softly. after having one partner for so long , I am sure it is disconcerting, no matter if a raptor or not.

did not like to see snow this morning.

well M2 and Liberty mated at about 6am this morning and then were not seen again .
another male came into nest this afternoon with bad talons on both feet, and later an immature came in ( 4 year old perhaps) liberty an d M2 were not around . on e of the males picked up an egg but they are still in tact

liberty and another male came in together later this afternoon and she did not go to eggs. eggs are done . Liberty flew right to branch. this male was on nest and then flew next to liberty on branch and then went off trilling.( this male had injures on just one foot and a dirty tail) a male came back . I think it was M3 with both feet injured and no dirty tail)

no one can agree which male is there right now but M2 seems to have disappeared. I liked M2 . He kept liberty safe. He guarded her.
I am all about liberty now and hoping she can maintain her site. Sad as this all is we know it will happen more and more.
