Tom brought a fish to Maine, who was in the nest. Montana was apparently watching because she followed Tom into the nest. She's watching to see if maybe Maine can't eat the whole thing. :loveheart:

Maine seems to be attuned to when a delivery is about to be made cause when there is more than 1 kid there, he is the one who ends up with the food. He & Montana are both there now. Maine is eating a fish & Montana is complaining. I imagine there will be another delivery soon.

Somebody must be on the cam cause Montana is yelling at him/her. Maine is looking up there too.

Thanks, cat! Wasn't able to be glued to the nest today... Uta posted that Audrey chased ET from the nest earlier... :girlsad3: Hopefully, that was temporary. It seems as if he only eats when he's fed from this nest...

Food fight! Montana has been having a fit for a while, so I think she's hungry. Looks like Maine ended up with the fish (as usual).

Glad to see ET here. I was concerned after it was reported that Audrey chased him away the other day. He & Montana both have food. Maine doesn't seem concerned, so he might have already eaten.

Lots of action on the nest - Approx 5:50pm - Maine has 2 fish, Audrey tries (and succeeds) in pushing ET off the nest... Audrey takes one of Maine's fish, ET returns. Montana is empty-taloned!

Hi -Cat - didn't see your post... I wonder why Audrey has had a change of heart about ET? Tom still brings him fish on most mornings...

LOL...guess we were all watching...

Here's everything you just described, bonbon...sorry it's so long...the entire thing was a lot longer...and darn it, I missed ET's fly off (I was pausing a lot)...I too wonder why Audrey has had a change of heart about E.T. Can she sense that he's further along in his training and should be catching his own fish? Is it possible that this isn't even E.T. but another fledgling? :girlcrazy:

Anyway, for posterity..(I also might add that Maine was NOT very nice to Mom...LOL)

I wonder if the male parent is more tolerant of a fledgling...in this case Tom with E.T. A similar situation played out with the Utica Parents this year (and it also happened several years ago with the pair at the Edmonton nest) In both cases, one of the kids returned from Rehab. In both instances, the resident female was NOT pleased, yet the male parent didn't skip a beat and continued to provide food to the returning juvie...

:1val: Thanks, Sky - I was wondering the same thing about ET's ID... His feathers just don't look as dark on his back. Compared to the M & M, he had (has?) a lot let white feathering... ??? :girlcrazy:

I think we always knew that E.T. was a tad older than the M's. This 3rd "child" seems to have a tad more cream on the feather tips than I remember E.T. having, but to be honest, I have NO clue..hee hee..

I don't know if anyone else has noticed, but I don't think the Ms are spending the night on the nest. I've been trying to figure that out for a week or so, but it seems like Audrey is the only one on the nest when it gets dark. However, usually when I open the cam early in the morning, both Ms are there.

Audrey has been on the nest alone since approx. 10:55am. I thought she was looking around and taking one last look before migrating... but now I'm not so sure...
at approx. 11:52am ET arrives - and Audrey VERY FORCEFULLY pushed him off the nest... (I THINK it was ET...)

11:55am One of the M's has arrived.
