Jane, Your devotion is always there. I am glad NO ONE saw it happen. It teaches us how frail we are and how quick things can change from one minute to the next.

A new day!!! Just saw someone leave the corner of the Ledge. Don't know who??? The Cam changed at that moment. Hoping ALL goes well today. Boy! We could use a little sunshine to lift our spirits. Thinking of the "Boots" on the ground. Stay safe!

Sue and I got downtown at 5:30 this morning. White was still where she had been last night, and Red still on the ledge. Sue kept her eye on White while I did the same for Red. Another gal who has helped with our night watches came around 6:00. Although I could see none of White was doing, she made several flights somewhere around 6:00, and to make a long story short she wound up on the roof of the Carson Building somewhere before 6:30. At 6:35 Red looked like she was trying to climb the column but lost hold of it and then she had no choice but to fly. She was in the air maybe a minute and tried without luck to land at several places until she finally wound up on a safe ledge on the left front of the Carson Building. And White had gone over to the top of 333 Market, the highest building in town. Right before I left White flew and tried to get back up on 333, but missed her landing, circled around, and it looked like she landed on the back part of the building. There are several people keeping their eyes on these two. Now for some much needed sleep.

Oh man, this DVR is a blessing and a curse. I was looking back to see if I could find Red Girl climbing the column and I did see her go around it at about 5:32 and it looked very shaky so don't know how long after that she fell, but then I went back to yesterday and saw Blue on the ledge just playing around and doing her thing, Some of which I had watched live. Not possible to describe how sad that was.

I have just read on the Twitter section of DEP's main falcon web page that Red was rescued earlier and released on the roof of the building. It is not surprising to hear that she was grounded, as her fledging flight this morning was not very good. She was flying in snow motion. The folks watching have also reported White making short flights to nearby building roof tops.

Thanks to all who posted this morning. Glad Red is trying now and hope for White and Red to stay safe. We have to remember they chose these places. As I always say it takes "guts" to watch Wildlife. No control over any of it!

Parent in the nest box at 7:15 . Must be having empty nest syndrome or else just relaxing.

Back home from the night watch. Shortly before I arrived at 4:00 there was a food drop on the roof, and we could tell both girls were eating it. They stayed put for a while afterwards and watched the adults circling above. Eventually both girls made their way to the top of the column where they enjoyed each other's company. At one point Niecey landed where the girls had been and it appeared she was finishing off what the girls didn't eat. Not sure what time, but we were pretty sure it was Red flew across to the glass cubbie above the ledge. She took off and was able to make a diagonal landing over by the column on the nest ledge. She was pancaked there when we left around 8:30, with White pancaked on top of the column above her.
