Iit is troubling to me that I have seen Mo leave nest duty from time to time. Just now he was gone about 10 minutes. The temp is 58 degrees. Will it affect the eggs?

I'm no good at hatch dates!

also, if eggs have chicks inside them, at this time frame in incubation, they can handle being chilled. It's usually the first week while the embryo's heart is forming that being too chilled can kill the developing embryo.

My desktop died so not able to watch cams much.

:hithere: Thank you, Matrix, for your patient answer...No more worrying about the eggs! It's kinda funny - I can tell Mystic and Mo apart by behavior more than by their markings.... Mo is the restless one with the swivel head, and Mystic is the serene one - quiet, looking totally content to take care of her eggs....

:thanku Hi Loza! Thank you for catching Mystic doing what she loves - taking care of her eggs! Do you suppose she worries about them when Mo has been on them? She sure is checking them close!

Mystic is increasing his time on the eggs...I've seen him on more today, then I've seen her. Not watching constantly though... headed to archives now to see what happened yesterday...

His Mickey Mouse ears show good in this position....

I am guessing that she is bathing. I can imagine the external parasites may be building up population on her while she is stuck incubating.

:loveheart2: Checking on Mystic and Mo while eating my breakfast... Mo just came in for his turn on the eggs - He did really well. Checked each one out, straddled them, sat down with 2 hanging out, but wiggled very efficiently til all were covered. Good job, Mo!
PS - no pips...

:bughug: I take a peek at the cam this morning and the first thing I see is a peregrine with its back to the cam, but its neck twisted clear around, looking out across his back... Good morning, Mo! Ah but then he gets back to business, hugging those eggs and giving his butt a final wiggle...Good boy, Mo!

 Good morning - Checked in with the nest to see what's happening....Mo is on the eggs again, and doesn't seem so "antsy" this morning. Matter o fact, at one point, somewhere around 7:15 he actually got up and turned a couple eggs! I wonder if he hears them peeping at him?
