RED AND WHITE HAVE BEEN PLAYING AND RUNNING AROUND THE LEDGE ALOT THIS MORNING AND NOW THEY ARE OVER BY THE COLUMN, A LITTLE TOO CLOSE TO THE EDGE FOR ME. BLUE GIRL IS BY THE ORANGE COLUMN, THINKING ABOUT HER FIRST FLIGHT IT LOOKS LIKE TO ME AND DOING SOME PREENING TO GET THOSE FEATHERS READY!

NIECEY JUST LANDED DOWN BY THE POLE, LOOKING AROUND FOR SCRAPS AND THEN BLUE GIRL CHASED HER OFF.

ABOUT 6:25, LIL DAD BROUGHT IN A SMALL BIRD. RED GIRL GRABBED IT AND BLUE GIRL WAS WAITING ON THE STICK AND WHITE GIRL WENT DOWN BEHIND THE ORANGE POLE. RED GIRL ATE THE ENTIRE THING IN NO TIME! I SWEAR SHE SWALLOWED HALF THE BIRD AT A TIME ALMOST! THEN SHE WENT OVER TO BLUE GIRL WHEN DONE AND THEY DID SOME BEAKING, IT WAS SO SWEET. I GUESS REALLY WHAT WAS HAPPENING WAS BLUE GIRL WAS CLEANING OFF RED'S BEAK FOR HER :-)

Just read this morning's posts. Am positive Red is still there at the orange post. I suspect she is the baby of this group. One is behind the shield and the other in front of the stick. I understand Yellow Boy's chicks in Reading are going to be banded today. I can tell that's White on the ledge part of the stick.

ALL 3 GIRLS AT THE ORANGE POLE NOW :-)

ONE OR TWO SCREAMING. I GUESS RG MIGHT BE THE ONLY ONE THAT ATE SO FAR, BUT I WASN'T WATCHING THE ENTIRE TIME.

Lil Dad just brought in a whole bird. He's watching from the point. BIG food fight going on now. And the girls ripped up that bird together. It was Starling sized. One chased Lil Dad off the point, so he went over to the stick. Thought I heard alarm calls, but Lil Dad doesn't seem upset or anything.

Lil' Dad forced to leave the stick when one of the girls came running down there and hopped up on it too. Hope you can make him out leaving. It won't be long before there is no place to hide for the parents. Oh just saw somebody fly up to the cam and juvie on the stick headed that way.

HA. Lost sight of all 3 for a minute until I realized one was in the scrape. This was on full screen.

About 10-15 minutes ago, one of the adults brought in a small amount of food. I had just turned on the cam, so couldn't tell which adult. Red grabbed it, and was not about to share. She had that food all over the ledge. I think one of the other girls may have managed to steal a bite, but that was about it. A little while ago Blue was flapping to beat the band down near the point. They are trying to get some meat off of what looks to be a pigeon wing, but don't think there's anything on it to eat.

I SAID THIS MORNING, I THOUGHT BLUE GIRL WILL BE THE FIRST TO FLEDGE THIS YEAR UNLESS THERE'S AN ACCIDENTAL BUMP OFF.

ALL 3 GIRLS AT THE POINT END OF THE LEDGE, WERE LOOKING UP SCREAMING, GUESS LIL DAD WAS ON THE CAM PERCH, ON THE STICK NOW THOUGH. ALOT OF YELLOW BILLED CUCKOO PARTS ON THE LEDGE AND AROUND THE BLDG.

Am seeing Red sacked out in front of the orange post, and Blue and White over near the point looking VERY warm. I have just learned that Yellow Boy in Reading is the proud father of two boys and two girls. So along with Red Girl's four in Wilmington Lil Dad has eight "grandfalcons" this year that we know of.

That is an awesome capture, ljames. About half an hour ago the girls were on the point together. They're now settled into a lump at the normal spot on the end of the ledge.

NIECEY SEEMS TO BE HAVING A FIT. NOT SURE WHY. I WENT UP AND DIDN'T SEE ANYTHING, BUT THEN AGAIN, WHATEVER IT WAS COULD HAVE LEFT. LIL DAD IS SOMEWHERE, SEEMS HE'S TRYING TO CALM HER DOWN.........

RED AND WHITE ARE IN THE SCRAPE KINDA FROZEN SOME. THEY WERE SHARING A MEAL. BLUE WAS ON THE POINT AND RAN TO THE BUILDING WHEN NIECEY STARTED IN.

OK, THAT WAS REALLY COOL! I SAW NIECEY CHASING AFTER LIL DAD OUT THE SIDE WINDOW HERE. SHE WAS HOT ON HIS TAIL, LOL! I QUICK LOOKED AT THE CAM AND THERE LIL DAD LANDED AND NIECEY LANDED AND TRIED TO TAKE THE BIRD FROM LIL DAD AND INSTEAD THE ONE GIRL GRABBED IT AND NIECEY JUST STOOD THERE LOOKING DUMB, LOL! SHE WAS AFRAID LIL DAD WOULD FEED THEM I GUESS. SHE'S PROBABLY REALLY MISSING FEEDING THEM...........

Maybe the days of beak feeding are done. White FINALLY got away from the stick and trotted down to the orange post. Blue behind the scrape. Niecey looking on from the point. And POOF - she's gone. All three in the shade of the orange post. It is REALLY humid here this morning.
