Just one baby is visible right now. Not sure who it is but I wonder how long before it will be before they hop up on the ledge.

Adult on ledge right now. cannot see kids on either cam but they have been right outside door. Saw adult come to feed earlier and one was fed at door and two were behind adult on outside. hard to see but I watched to make sure there were 2 there

building a fence etc so I have cam recording and then watch when I can

Oh my gosh, it has been a while since I have watched a feed live. Going about my business with the cams on in the back ground. . No sign of kids but all of the sudden all H--L broke loose. Mom came in with prey and now a feeding frenzy. They are off to the right so I can't really see much, but I sure know they are there. JOY!

 Thanks, Bev, for the nice video and pictures today. Now that the chicks are hopping out of the box, it's tough to catch sight of them.

is there anyway we can still gt them to band . they still do in san jose and san francisco. I think it would be more important now than ever to keep track of the falcons

Bev, this decision is by state. Falcons are still on the endangered list in most/many states, but they were just taken off the list in Ohio. Its a good news/bad news kind of thing. I think we would all like them to continue to band, but its a matter of the almighty dollar winning out. :eggsad:

These guys look just beautiful now with their white fur coats!

It is a bittersweet feeling, knowing that this banding will be the last.
I also assume that they will no longer name the falcons. I feel like we are losing a connection.

But at the same time it is a good thing, because the falcon population is recovered and strong in Ohio, and we no longer need to worry about losing these beautiful birds forever. The cost of banding is no doubt a factor, but banding is also intrusive. Without a compelling reason, wildlife biologists are reluctant to disturb a nest.
