Ok food on the ledge. Saw somebody fly in, juvies run toward them then another parent fly down from the cam and is now feeding.

One remaining in the scrape, perhaps she ate earlier. Boy these other two are going at it. It's nice to see Niecey feeding them.

Thanks for the pictures and also your kind words, ljames. I do remember the year that you were able to visit up here, and it was so nice to meet you and your hubby. I was outside doing a little yard work and missed seeing Niecey doing that feeding. They certainly haven't mastered how to tackle a larger bird like a pigeon yet.

Watched the weather report for the next several days on our local noon news. For both today and Saturday there's a VERY slight chance of thunderstorms. On Sunday afternoon some weather system is to come through creating a MUCH better chance of storms, and the rain threat continues into Monday. Tuesday sounds a little better with lingering showers. By next Wednesday the conditions should improve. Hope those girls can hold off until Wednesday for their sake and for those of us who will be watching them.

Dancing.

Oh my word , lots of flapping and head bobbing going on too. Parent landed on point and left quickly.

On my way to the movies, pray nobody goes yet. Oh Wait, one juvie standing on prey. Well, she's go that part down. :egglaugh:

Hope they get the cam back up for the weekend. Hate to not see any fledges if they decide to go. :eggsad:

I figured juvie was looking at parent, then food arrived, and they dashed in that direction. The one darting behind the nest box had the prey.

Awesome pictures ljames. Just came in from mowing and feeling like I'm having a heat stroke. 7:30 and still 82 degrees. Nice air going.

Well, no fledges as I guess everyone knows. We saw MOST of the action from below. At one point Lil Dad brought in a Tree Swallow, and I missed it having gone down the street to pick up some pizza for our dinner. And I now have two nice streaks of poop on my car's windshield courtesy of Lil Dad. He has already been forgiven. :-)

AGAIN, ANYONE LOCAL. WE COULD REALLY USE HELP TOMORROW AND SUNDAY. PLEASE CONSIDER COMING.

You know I was just thinking, we haven't seen them go around the column like they usually do. They go around it before they fledge right? Maybe not. Also nobody on the stick (for real) either. So they are not ready to go yet. (famous last words)

Thanks Jane for you dedication to these birds. And of course, Reenie, Sue, Nancy and everybody else involved year after year.

I highly recommend that anybody who can go and help with fledge watch, do so. I was up there one year and got to participate and was rewarded with the most beautiful sight of White Boy fledging. I didn't know that I could hold my breath that long as he flew here and there trying to figure out what to do next. The experienced team will handle the actual rescue if one is needed, mostly it's eyes and feet they need to keep track of where the babies are. I just held a sign to slow down traffic. Added advantage of being around the greatest people you could ever meet.

HOW SWEET AND YES, I REMEMBER YOU BEING THERE WITH US, WHAT A TREAT! I HAVE TO SAY, I MIGHT BE WATCHING LIL DAD AND NIECEY ALL YEAR LONG AND I'M CHECKING IN NOW, BUT WITH ALL THAT'S GOING ON WITH HUBBY AND HIS LIVER TRANSPLANT, I DON'T THINK I'LL MAKE IT TO FALCON WATCH THIS YEAR. MIGHT TRY TO GO LATER TODAY OR TOMORROW, BUT I HAVE ALOT TO DO BEFORE HE COMES HOME MONDAY :-( I AM SOOOOO MISSING BEING UP THERE!

Pile of juvies at the post. Doubt they will go in the middle of the day. Have a graduation to attend but will be back to watch later. Hope it's not too hot for the watchers today. Good luck.

Hey Reenie, as much as you love falcons, husbands have to come first.

Thanks for all your kind words here ljames. It is hard not to be there when needed. Reenie , this is a first for you, but there will be other years and Charles is so lucky to have you there with him. Nothing like a loved one around when your not feeling well.

These three Girls are something else. They really went after the adult when I think Lil Dad came to check on them. We get so attached so easily. but it is also so nice to hear other places that they end up to start the process all over again.

It may be hot, but they are really sceaming at the Parents when they come around. It's getting hard to tell them apart from the Parents.

Am back home for about an hour or so. It is REALLY hot here today. Right before I left Niecey had some food. She first took it to the cubby on top of the building, and then over to the louver ledge at the U Building. Wanted to see what she did with it, but HAD to get home for a little while. Planning on being down there by 5:30. Got there at 5:30 this morning, too. LONG day. Tomorrow's weather isn't sounding too promising.
