Bird Cams Around the World

perhaps one of you can help me. How does one determine what the band's numbers reveal? one of the philly city hall falcons have the same black/green bands that are given to ours here. can anyone tell me anything about a pefa banded 40 black/ AC green? just wondering in case they were one of mom/lil dads offspring

This adult male Peregrine Falcon "40/AC" was at least 2 years old (Adult Plumage) but he
could have been older when he was banded by Art on April 17, 2009. Art had rescued the
bird when he became trapped inside a Center City building. He was already mated with the
City Hall female. That’s the scary part. They already had 4 eggs in the nest. If he had
remained trapped and away from his mate much longer, the nest would have failed,
because the female would have abandoned the eggs in order to hunt for herself and
survive. What we do know is that (1) this male previously nested at City Hall, and (2)
now he’s nesting at 2400 Chestnut. This has resulted in this year's production of the four
chicks banded today. WOW, quite a history and story which would never have been known
if it were not for the telltale band number "40/AC" Black over Green!

Thanks! I never thought he came from that nearby. it is only about 4 or 5 blocks and he has done well with his mate outside city hall tower. I think it was the HUP pair that relocated from Penn to 2400 chestnut street which too isn't too far apart. a distance of only 10 blocks east of penn's hospital (and I thought reading and connowingo was too close to hbg. learn new stuff every day. thanks all

Interesting about the Philly falcons. I just returned from SE Arizona and am doing some catch up reading this morning. No falcons around at the moment, but I see that object that's in the scrape. Am wondering if it's a small hornet's nest that had been on the cam up above there and fell down into the scrape.

Couldn't post while he was there, but Lil Dad was on the point from around 5:00 to 5:30. And I can't see that object in the scrape any longer.

Lil Dad and Niecey have both been on the ledge for a while, but have now traded places. She's on the point and he's in the scrape. And that mystery object is still in the scrape.
