Yeah, a while after I posted I saw him out there next to the stick. Don't know why they can't go out on the other side of the scrape on the big ledge. :-)

Those are cuckoo wings behind the two butts in the scrape. But now food has arrived and the chick that was outside is now back in for breakfast.

ONE JUST WENT OUT THE FRONT WITH A THUD BECAUSE ONE WAS BLOCKING THE SIDE DOOR.

That's the other yellow foot out on the ledge. Smaller yellow foot got maybe a bite at the most out of that recent feeding. Can hear little thumps of falcon feet. As far as I know, white foot has yet to leave the scrape. I'm going to need to run some errands shortly.

NIECEY CAME OVER ON THE SHIELD AND THAT ONE THAT WAS OUTSIDE GOT BACK IN AND WAS SCREAMING AT HER.

Niecey is feeding 2 of the chicks, one just lying down watching so far. Prey is yellow and not so big so chick had better get up if they want something.

Back from errands. Niecey is on the shield. She looks so slim. Parenting must take a toll on the adults. it is cooler here today, in the mid 70s. And the wind is blowing that humidity elsewhere.

Looks like little yellow foot has escaped again. Niecey has departed from the shield. It has gotten REALLY windy here. White petals from all the flowering trees in my neighborhood are blowing all over the place.

NIECEY HAS SLIMMED DOWN ALOT! I NOTICED THAT THE OTHER DAY. EVERYTIME I SEE HER SITTING UP THERE ON THE SHIELD LIKE THAT, IT REMINDS ME OF DEAR MOM..............

One of the adults landed on the shield a moment ago, but didn't stay long. Cam view changed before I could tell which one. That set off a bunch of screaming by the chicks. Little yellow foot is still out next to the stick, and the entrance to get back in is blocked by the other two chicks. I'm going to be out shortly for a couple hours now. Hope somebody who is watching will be able to report seeing a feeding or anything else significant.

Feeding going on right now. Little yellow foot is back in the scrape and RIGHT up front for the meal. And I now must turn this off.

when I tuned in at 640, all 3 were out of the scrape with mom

EDITED a short time later two were staring through "that window". Little do they know.

Back from dinner with friends. I see the two yellow feet are still out on the big ledge, but white foot is back in the scrape. Thanks for the picture of all three out on the ledge, George.

It's too dark to tell, but it certainly looks like one chick is going to spend the night on the ledge rather than in the scrape. Niecey arrived on the shield not too long ago.

DON'T KNOW WHAT'S TAKING SO LONG TO BRING FOOD, BUT NIECEY WAS THERE ON THE STICK AT 6AM, I THINK SOMETHING WAS FLYING BY SHE DIDN'T LOOK BY THE SOUND OF IT. LIL DAD JUST SHOWED UP AND WENT OVER TO THE KIDS, I THOUGHT THEY WOULD MOW HIM OVER! HE LOOKED FOR SCRAPS TO FEED THEM IN THE SCRAPE. THEY ARE SCREAMING AT HIM NOW, HE MUST HAVE GONE TO THE POINT OR SOMETHING.

6:47 LIL DAD BROUGHT A BIRD TO THE SCRAPE FOR THE KIDS, NIECEY CAME RUNNING OVER, GRABBED THE BIRD FROM LIL DAD AND THEN TURNED AROUND AND CAME BACK AND LET THE ONE KID TAKE IT FROM HER. BOY, SHE DOESN'T WANT LIL DAD FEEDING HER KIDS!

NIECEY FINALLY WENT IN AND GOT THE BIRD AND IS FEEDING THE KIDS NOW. PREY WAS RED BELLIED WOODPECKER.
