Bird Cams Around the World

It is looking rainy to the west of here, but just checked radar, and it looks like most of this will miss Harrisburg. And we miss you, Reenie.

Girls just hanging out .

Flapping closer and closer to the edge. Good grief, hope there's no significant wind there.

Lil' Dad stopped by but when he made a move to get a scrap on the ledge, he was met with resistance.

Very little to report. Somewhere around 7:00 Lil Dad brought in what looked like a Mourning Dove. From what we could see from below, it looked like the girls devoured it. Forgot to mention that around 6:00 this morning we saw a canoodle on the corner of the U roof.

You know, I think I've seen that posted here before. I didn't even realize they continue to canoodle after chicks arrive. Seen them bonding, of course.

Almost 10 am and all three girls are on the ledge. They are trying to work on some prey left there but it's their attempts are a little pitiful.

Two have already abandoned the chore and moving to the orange post for a nap.

Glad I didn't miss a fledge this morning. Figure I have a chance of catching an afternoon fledge, but mornings are not my thing.

I remember seeing LO fledge from the ledge. Of course the camera changed the second before he went over, but I knew he was gone.. The funniest thing was though, not too many minutes later, here he comes back landing on the ledge. I think somebody got a video of that part. We were in shock. A good shock.

Oh just saw somebody fly up to the cam.

Oh my goodness, that one juvie is trying to carry the prey off maybe to the scrape, but she keeps dropping it or tripping over it.

Well she finally made it to the scrape. I bet that was Lil' Dad that landed on the cam and she knows that he usually comes for the leftovers, so she's taken it to a more secure location.

They are so smart.

Not a great pic, but here she is with her prey, making a good bit of progress actually.

Oh look, she's in there mantling the thing now. She's like I've got too much work in this to have it stolen.

Oh Reenie, I'm glad that you had a chance to stop by the fledge watch. I'm sure everybody was thrilled to see you.

She has moved on to the post now. Still not sure which one it was, maybe Blue Girl.

I wish White Girl would settle down.

White girl was not fast enough.


Then Lil' Dad, maybe went to the shield and you could see that he was going to get the prey in the scrap, but White girl ran over there , camera changed, and then lots of noise from the scrape, so don't know what happened.

Hopefully someone told these girls you don't fledge in this heat. It's terribly humid here today. chance of rain the next few days. So hopefully they will wait til the rain cools things down some. Meanwhile they can just practice flapping.
