Trinity has been on the eggs since I first tuned in before 8 this morning. I can only watch about five more minutes. Sure hope somebody will report seeing Red Girl up there.

I have trouble identifying them but isn't this Red girl on the eggs? I don't see the white patch on the back of the head if it was Trinity. Please correct me if I'm wrong.

We're getting close!!!....and before all the excitement begins, I just wanted to see if any of the Wilmington people recognize this band number..

It belongs to the new female at Baltimore...there is red tape partially covering the federal band..left band is b/g with a zero or "O" on top (with another digit, they think) and AF (they think) on the bottom...

I checked PA band numbers from 2009-2013...and she's not one of theirs...not from NJ or VA either..sooooooooooooo....if anybody has a clue? That would be great!!!

I posted this same info on the FB page...

I am pretty sure that Red Girl is on the eggs right now. Hope you find the ID on the Baltimore falcon, MA.

Thinking about Harrisburg's "Little One" from 2011. I don't know the genders, but he and his mate had at least two females from their nest in 2013. Little One and his mate are at the Conowingo Dam in Maryland. I would guess that's about 30 or 40 air miles at the most from Baltimore.

Thanks Jane....it doesn't appear to be a PA bird...I found the 2009-2013 PA banding reports on line...

SGB - I don't have any band numbers from Wilmington, but a female with a red band fledged from the Wilmington nest in 2012. It would be nice if she is the new female at Baltimore.

Jane - I'm so glad you spotted Red Girl in the nest this afternoon!

Trinity is on the eggs at the moment. And I do remember that there was a red banded female in 2012, although I couldn't remember the year. We dubbed her "Little Red". She was spotted the following spring on an Osprey platform at the Brigantine (Forsythe) National Wildlife Refuge near Atlantic City. There's a cam on that platform, and somebody posted a picture, but I wouldn't know how to find that picture again. Maybe somebody reading this would know.

April 15, 2015 Wednesday Shepnotes
Warm Temp and rain coming in
6.30 am dawn finds faithful Trinity angel on the eggs. I just wanna HUG him!!
- Good thing he's ok. Whatever scuffle he had, those white marks indicate he coulda lost!
8 am Trinity seems uneasy, I glimpse eggs but only a couple at once. No sign of Mom today so far.
To me, Trinitys white patch appears larger - as if he has been in a fight in recent days.
Trinity's been there 2 solid hours. HUGS 2 u lil Trin!

Great research work, Carly! Too bad her numbers can't be read. Did you find only one picture? I was thinking there was one where her numbers were readable and that's how her ID was made.

SUPER job, Carly! I must leave shortly for a few hours. Need to have more time to digest all of this info. Happy to see Red Girl back on the eggs right now. At least I THINK it's her.

Great detective work, Carly!!!

I've been communicating with the Baltimore people...and questioning whether the "F" is really correct...they did post a pic on FB..not any better than the ones we've been getting..so, I was disappointed...I was hoping it was through the window, like their first one..anyway....

Trinity is back now, having a terrible time getting situated. Red Girl must be out for dinner.

Trinity left the eggs around 7:49 this evening. About two minutes later, Red Girl came in for the night shift.

Funny Catbird, I just posted on HBG about the Males taking over Egg Duty in the Morning. Time is getting near!

:hatchegg: It's almost time! Kim reported on the Wilmington Falcons Facebook page that hatching should start between April 16 and 18.
