I e-mailed Mr. Farina about the lack of eggs this year @ MNSA.

>Good question, It is the same female, Zoe, born 2001. In Peregrine terms; she's lived a long life (14 this June) and have had at least 3 mates. Their lifespan is 7-15 years with few exceptions reach 20+. Last year she had 4 eggs 3 hatched and of the 3 we know one didn't make it after fledging. We could be seeing the end of an era this year, the first recorded marsh nesting Peregrine in the Town of Hempstead.

Thanks for doing that, Beth...I had no idea she was that old...so we have another female possibly "retiring" this year...but boy, they still are so affectionate with each other...can you imagine if we were watching a streaming cam?
