I posted my pics on the CMNH forum. Can't see any detail. I have arrows pointing to the fledglings. Click on pictures to enlarge.

Good Job Perk.

Bev, the bird did run down the ledge like Storm and I thought the face looked like her too, although didn't get a really good look. Well if we both had that thought, maybe it is so. Boy I hope so, Plus catwoman thought she heard two earlier. And Perk might have seen 3 juvies. And I hope they rescue Flash if they can. 4 stories up is not a good launch point so I imagine she will go to ground at some point.

Oh Perk, just saw your pictures. Thanks so much.

great pictures perk. and thank you so much. :egg17:

if that was Flash , we would wait and rescue . because she is on corner.
we would wait and watch . but watching is the important thing. time is the essence

Boy...am I ever jumping for joy!!

Thanks for all the great coverage/pics/vids/posts...and perkdiggity for your pics...and for finding one of the girls..

I have emailed Donna with all this information and sent her a link to the pics you posted on CMNH, perkdiggity!!

Whatever female that is, I sure hope it is still there in the morning. It does look way too low..but, for those of you that watch the Don Mills Nest in Canada (Quest from Rochester) that too is a low nest ledge. It may be more dangerous to try and trap her than to let her figure it out on her own. Anybody going out to try and get her, would probably just flush her from that ledge. Without somebody below watching, who knows what could happen.

perkdiggity, could I copy your pics and put them here?

Bev...I just went and watched your vid several more times...I'm pretty sure that was Bolt in the box. obviously, without seeing bands, I can't be 100% sure, but that's just my educated guess...

SGB...It would be great if you could post my pics here. I've never used photobucket & have too much going on at the moment to try. Thanks!

I was thinking about how the female could be rescued while I was downtown. It doesn't look like the windows adjacent to the ledge open, so a crane or something would need to be used to try to get her. Or someone could repel down the building like an action flick.....lol. Let's just send her good vibes and pray that she can work her way higher. There are lower buildings right next door so...

Hopefully she will give flying another try- and succeed. Otherwise she will likely end up on the sidewalk in front of Rhodes Tower. I'm just glad we know where she is. Hopefully rose will find her in the morning. The ledge she is on will provide a little cover from rain/wind if she moves back toward the building.

I trust your judgement on who it is SGB. you know them best

as far as rescue goes. Yes, she is on edge so you need to watch and wait. then if she comes to ground you are ready. being a female, even with good feathering, this will be tough.

I am always praying for these guys

Thanks!! I will bring them over tomorrow (well, I guess its actually today)

I feel sure Donna will see my email and will check that area to see if she is still there!! She knows best about the dangers of rescue at that location. Whether the bird you saw was Storm or Flash, either can fly...maybe not very well...so a "fly-off" during a rescue attempt is a strong possibility and the sidewalk or street might end up being the landing zone...YIKES!!

I think something like this happened at Harrisburg several years ago..or was it last year. Didn't one of the kids end up over the entrance to the building? I think the falconwatch group just had to wait until it attempted to fly and came to ground..or did I just dream all of that...

The conversation I've heard our watchers talk about was waiting & watching when a juvie was low because it would be unlikely that the juvie could gain any height from that low & to just protect them from the street or other dangers. I hope somebody can keep an eye on this girl & help her when its time. Actually, it could be good if its Flash. That could give Donna an opportunity to check her feathers before turning her loose again.

Thanks for the tip about the mic, SWINWK and ljames. I just bring up the cam & leave it, so that could have been an echo I was hearing, because it wasn't the adults I was hearing.

Edit: After looking at Perk's pictures, she's not as low as the girl in Harrisburg was, so she might be able to fly, but I still think its pretty doubtful.

Nice pictures, Perk!

Good morning Everyone - I was downtown this morning for another short visit - I have to take a few hours off - maybe this afternoon to watch for the other juvies - I saw Storm on the lower opening - 4th floor - it's great to see her - she was not screaming, just sitting there watching. She was still a little hard to see because of the sun and she blends in with the surroundings. I was a little disturbed, however because I heard alarm calls coming from the east of the Rhodes but I could not find where it was coming from. Unfortunately, I had to get on the bus for work. Thanks to Perkdiggity, I knew where to look for Storm.

Thanks for looking in on our too low girl rosekk17. I'm glad she stayed put over night. Wish I could go and watch her today, but I have to go to work. Hopefully somebody working down there will take an interest and keep an eye on her.
