I hope you don't mean falling off. I can't see him tonight, is he laying down up front?

Here you go, Janie. I knew that was the last place I saw him, but Dorothy was blocking any sign of him. Now he's either scooted back a bit or Dorothy moved over a bit.

Someone who attended the banding this morning got some nice shots of the adults flying around outside the room where baby was banded, including one of Dorothy perched on the wall giving them the "look". Really interesting pictures--I hope you all can see this:

sorry for confusion. NO Dorothy heard a falcon calling off nest and I heard also. Dorothy, in corner

no worries about our dear little one

now it is scooting over to corner of box at top right. It is moving so much better and now going back to lower right corner

Oh good--I'm glad you could see them, Bev! Hope those videos of Dorothy in the box while the banders were there will be posted here too!

In the Pittsburgh Post-Gazette there is an article
with pictures and an interview video of the peregrine coordinator (same as the one who answered to my email).

Little one finally went to the back of the box with Dorothy. I know she is glad & so am I that he got out of the sun. I think he likes the front of the box because there has to be more air moving there.

Kate St. John has updated her blog today with more info from the banding. Its very positive! She said that coming up next is diagrams of the nest area showing how he can't jump/fall off the building--even if he wanted to. (So I probably won't worry about wading through forum archives looking for those pictures of the nest area.)

Thanks Catwoman for posting the link to the update. It was a great read..I don't mean to come off sounding negative, but Kate's really "changed her tune" in terms of this chick..Maybe she felt like she needed to play devil's advocate, all gloom and doom, just in case this chick either didn't survive or couldn't be returned..

That's neither here nor there at this point..just hoping this baby continues to grow and thrive...especially now that those nasty bugs are gone..I usually have really good bug radar (bordering on the paranoid, LOL) and never did I suspect blood sucking parasites on this chick..mites, yes... I never noticed the dried blood signature...but flipping and not being able to turn back over certainly is a symptom of those suckers!!

I agree about Kate, SGB. My opinion is that she really did believe that baby was deformed in some way because of Dorothy's age & that there would not be a happy ending for him, so she was trying to prepare people for a sad ending. So glad everyone is hopeful now!
