:eggup: Mystic just got done with a pretty large feed. She was kept busy with some very eager eaters. The 2 on the left have particularly large crops, and pretty much sacked out right where they had been fed. Meanwhile the other 2, which seemed pretty well fed too, started a tug of war over a scrap Mystic had left behind...

There is a prom event going on inside the Canton Club this eve. Keeping an eye on the cam and the M's in case there is any problems.

Was that what happened? all I saw was wings and then a tip dropped over the edge... The light isn't on in the kitchen so thats a good sign.

Check out the info on the FB page Susan. Storm was positivley IDed, and has 5 eggs at fifteen years old. :ohyes:

:hithere: Well, like I said it was just an educated guess based on the fact that we know she likes to hang out on the cam.... Maybe she was stretching her wing and lost her balance? ....babies are Really zonked out now..are they still getting middle-of - the - night feeldings ?

I caught just the "tail end" of her landing last night, Susan. :teehee:

yes she is quite active during the night. I imagine bats and migrating birds are on the menu.

when we finally go t night cams last year, we saw all sorts of activity at night that we did not know went on, but during our JULY1 fireworks, they ( adults and kids) all looked terrified and she went into protection( female adult) mode

so if you had something going on there , they would be cautious

The pigeons that nest behind/under Mystic's nestbox, lost their luck last evening (5/10)
Mystic went on foot down onto the terrace behind the nestbox, and nabbed one of the adults. She grew tired of waiting on Mo I think. First pigeon of the season! More of the days' story on the FB page...

First two pics is after she popped back up to the railing with the pigeon.
The next two pics is of the feeding, on cam, of it.

Thanks for the update/pics...that's kinda sad...stupid pigeons..what the heck were they doing nesting near pefas..I hope they didn't have babies...or they will be next..

Yep SGB! sad! Mystic isn't the only falcon to be resourceful and opportunistic.
More pigeons brought into box past two days. Mystic is now hunting, as well as Maurice, full time.

some pics from archives and one of Maurice trying to feed a scrap. Sure wish she would let do a real feed on cam for once...

:hithere: I substituted today at a local school. Usually this school has a mix of "English" and Amish kids, but today was an Amish holiday (Ascension Day) so no Amish came to school. It was a quiet day, and I decided to put Mystic and Mo on the smartboard, which projects computer images on a white board. At first the babies were sleeping, when who should come for a visit but Mo! The chicks all crowded around, expecting to be fed. And he knew it too, looking around for Something to feed them. So he reached down and started feeding them stuff in the nest box, only a lot of it was feathers..... It didn't take long for the kids to figure it out, and they stood around looking at him. Mo must have known Mystic was Not near, as he took some time checking out the kids, as I was exclaiming "Mo- go get some food!" He left and I was so hoping he would come back with real food , but not this time...Mystic stopped in soon after, left and came back 10 minutes later with lunch. The school kids were totally enthralled that this was really happening Right Now, and many copied the cam URL down to take home. Maybe Mystic and Mo have some new fans!
