Sorry, it is not a ccb bird. I have learned that the CCB falcon is 03, and the numbers are vertical not horizontal. So, I think Craig is the best resource. I will contact him.

Sorry to say it looks like Craig might have retired, which will be a great loss.

Very interesting history info. Scarlett had even more trouble than Durand when she first began nesting. I thought it was interesting that she raised all of those foster chicks by herself. I think most of us are under the impression that it is really difficult for a lone parent to raise a family, & it probably was difficult for her.

Thank you got the info ciuciek! Craig banded that one, and I was pretty sure there was a Richmond falcon there. I guess he has been replaced. Nice to have that info, she is not a young bird.

Well, now I'm confused...Facebook was saying the Male was banded and the Female is NOT banded...maybe they goofed?

Ciuciek, it looks like we posted the same picture...scroll up above your posts...This is what they said on FB under the picture of the bands:

For those following our new peregrine falcon webcam, thank you for all of your enthusiasm and excitement! We wanted to update you in response to a question about the falcon pair. It seems that only the male peregrine is banded, and we've included the best shot we could get of the bands below. Unfortunately, that's all we really know about this pair -- record-keeping on the falcons at 100 Light St ended in the mid-1990s, so your guess is as good as ours! However, you can browse through records of the building's past falcons on our webpage!

I guess we wait until we see who lays the egg? :teehee:

I can bet it is female :girlcrazy:

But She has 13 years old, this may be her last breeding season.

I saw that Beth. When I came in, the banded one was looking down on the one in the corner, who was spread eagle and ruffled. I actually wondered if there was an egg under there and waited for it to get up! So, I am assuming, it is the heat of the day on the gravel and concrete/marble? Hope it is not too sweltering up there, when chicks arrive. Just don't know!

Wow, I just noticed one is actually under the front ledge, taking refuge from the sun. It makes me wonder if the dark spot in the right, lower, part of nest is also a falcon. And I was thinking ... nobody is home ... :teehee:

The spot is not moving, so guess it is a shadow. :teehee: The one under the ledge has moved out a little into the sunlight.
