TODAY IS BANDING DAY FOR THE 3 CHICKS! TUNE INTO THE REGULAR FALCON CAM BETWEEN 1-2 PM TO SEE THE CHICKS GET BANDED AND TO FIND OUT HOW MANY BOYS/GIRLS WE HAVE.

EVEN THOUGH THE CAMERA IS STILL DOWN, I WENT UP TO CHECK ON THE CHICKS. THEY ARE ALL BY THE SCRAPE AND NIECEY AND LIL DAD ARE ON THE TWO 4TH ST CORNERS OF 333, GUESS THEY ARE WAITING FOR BREAKFAST TO FLY BY.

The stills ARE working. One chick is in front of the scrape by the building, and two are on front of it at the side door. We have had some very light rain this morning. Forecast calls for off and on showers today. It is also rather cool. At 7:00 it was 55 degrees.

Thanks Reenie for the Eyes On reporting. I can picture all of it. Jane and Reenie hope all goes well with the Banding today. The rainy forecast will keep them subdued ,---Maybe!

I ALWAYS FORGET ABOUT THE STILLS. HERE'S ALL 3 AND ONE PARENT ON THE CORNER OF THE UNIV. HOPEFULLY PREPARING A NICE BREAKFAST FOR THEM :-)

I had hoped to go down there around 9 this morning, but due to the showers, I probably won't get there until 10. It WOULD be great if the chicks had a nice big breakfast before the banding. Dear Mom would get so upset after banding that she often didn't feed her babies until much later in the day.

I had hoped to be out there this afternoon, but health issues I had to go to ER and may be admitted. But there is always fledge watch week coming soon too alas.

YEP, IT WAS LIL DAD, FEEDING ONLY LASTED 5 MINS IF THAT.

I also thought it was Lil Dad. Trying to get a few things done here before leaving in about 20 minutes. It is dripping very lightly at my place. I would assume it's the same downtown. More of a nuisance than anything.

WONDER WHERE NIECEY IS HIDING OUT? I SAW HER ON 333 EARLY THIS MORNING, BUT NOT SINCE. LIL DAD'S ON THE POINT, ONE KID SACKED OUT IN THE SCRAPE, NOT SURE WHERE THE OTHER TWO ARE, BUT PROBABLY BEHIND THE SCRAPE.

Thank goodness there's another guy up there. I kept seeing something blue striped but couldn't tell it was a shirt until now.

Recently, the strategy has been to band one quickly and return it to the ledge so the parents will not be as upset. The others go to the show inside. If we had live action of the ledge we'd see this doesn't matter as the parents are no doubt going crazy, but hey it could have value.
