For those keeping track, Spark is currently on the box cam. Durand was our Shadow falcon from this morning. She stayed a long time...pics to follow...

I'm guessing northern migration has started. We'll have to keep a look out for any "visitors"...we usually have at least 1 every Fall!!

some have started migrating and our 3 are still at Edmonton. monkeys know what side their bread is buttered on LOL

Good morning everyone; thank you SGB for your pics from yesterday - maybe some day I will learn how to capture pictures from the streaming video - especially since the stills have been down for so long - I wonder if they will ever get fixed? I love those pictures of the pair looking into the nest box cam from the next box - they are so angelical looking - I just want to hug them.

There was a falcon on the ledge just now - the cam did me no favors - now you see me and then now you don't - rather jerky this morning. It is always good to see the pair here no matter how long.

Have a great day today - beautiful weather here in Columbus - I will try to keep my eyes open for intruders with SGB's suggestion.

Irina and I are going out on a walk by the Olentangy River by OSU - she spotted a falcon on the OSU stadium a few days ago - with migration, hopefully we will spot one at lunch today - she is awesome when it comes to finding them too.

Good morning to everyone - looks like Durand on the ledge this morning - another beautiful day today in Columbus Ohio - temps going up to 83 with sunny skies - great weather to be outside

as an aside - Irian spotted a falcon flying around the stadium - I, unfortunately, did not see it.. She has seen a pair here - very exciting

thanks for watching out There used to be a pair over by university. the female moved over here after Scouts demise and then she mysteriously died.
It would be nice to have another pair again, if they do not interfere with this site

Somebody on the ledge, box end!!

I hear some commotion going on near the ledge as I don't see anyone but I can hear them.
I forgot to tell you - I was downtown yesterday evening at around 6:20 pm waiting for a bus - as I was walking down High Street to the bus stop I heard alarm calling over by the statehouse - across the street from where I was walking - I got out my binoculars but could not find anyone so I figured it was a recording - I was looking with my bins when a man came up to me - is that a falcon? -I said yes - he say one flying south past the hotel - I missed it but he saw it - so it was not a recording - and now the same kind of situation - maybe an intruder is in the area

I am sorry that I had forgotten about yesterday

Good morning Everyone: I heard a lot of squeaking on the ledge/nest box and went to look at the cam only to find both empty - hmmm - there are now both Durand and Spark on the ledge with lots of squeaking - not sure where they really are right now because of the cam. - they sound so sweet!! it is so good to at least hear them

Awesome video!!

I was running down by the OH supreme court on the riverfront today and saw both peregrines! The first, which I believe was Spark based on size was gliding along near a flock of pigeons. He wasn't really attacking, I'm not too sure that we was all that interested. What would probably be Durand flew in the same direction (south or southeast) about a minute and a half later! The drifted out above the courthouse and out of view. On my return route, I found a peregrine kill (another pigeon) at the base of the huntington building. It is especially odd because mostly peregrines shy away from the roads as it is heavily trafficked, I am guessing that it may have fallen from higher up where the peregrines typically eat.

It was so exciting to see both of them again, especially this time of year! It is always great to see them on camera but in person they are simply magestic!!
