Looks like a leaf rake is needed! How on earth did a leaf get in the nest!

I always felt sorry for Victory, but not enough to want her to take her nest back from Scout. After they released her that year, I am certain that it was her that caused such a stir at the nest a few days after she was released. I had been watching the nest nonstop dreading her return, because where else would she go, this had been her nest and home. Anyway, the link above, is some entries made in July 2009 reposting information posted in 2008 talking about events prior to that. Somebody asked if Alpha was Scout's mother, yes, according to the information, but Alpha did raise 3 motherless chicks, in 2004 looks like, the year before Scout in 2005. It's a hodgepodge of valuable information, much provided by Juanita, a long time champion of falcons.

just making a comment. I remember the release also and after what I have seen at my sites, I am optimistic that Victory went on and found another site. just becasue they loose the battle does not mean they loose completely. We know not all sites are monitored, or even found in some cases. :1val:

Its been there a long time...LOL....It entertained Durand for a nanosecond during one of her visits...

Durand eventually joined him...but he never really came in the box..

He left and she messed around in the box.

Its Durand....she arrived a few minutes ago...I think she thought Spark was behind her based on all her vocals...she then hopped to the lower ledge and went into the box, then back to the ledge...she is still there..picks in a few..

Wondering why Spark didn't follow (prior to Durand landing, there were 2 "rockets" moving right to left and down...that's why I assumed Spark was right behind her..)

It's so good to see them! I check in a few times a day but never at the right time.

What's with Spark playing hard-to-get? There was a girl's 5K event happening nearby today. I wonder if all the noise and squealing was bothering him?

I just love Spark's hop-skip-flap run down the length of the ledge! :pumpbounce:
