First fledge...after watching the vid, I can't say it was on purpose...LOL

Article, pics, vid..What's really interesting with the vid is its an overhead view...we don't see that view except for the refresh.

Thanks for the video. Looks like the poor little guy got into a jam that he couldn't get out of. Well both boys have fledged now and two girls still in the nest but I don't know for how long.

Sad to report that one of the #nrperegrine chicks YT has been found dead in a garden near the Cathedral. Chick was found at 10pm last night by a local resident and a Hawk and Owl Trust staff member went to identify the body this morning. The body will be sent for autopsy. The average survival rate for fledglings in the first few weeks is 2 so unfortunately this is not unusual. The rest of the chicks are doing well. Here is a lovely piece of video clip of YT and the unringed fledgling playing a few days ago

Thanks...I just read the article...so very sad...it was the little girl that fledged in the vid I posted last Wednesday. I certainly hope it wasn't the result of her "backwards fledge"...the winds looked really ferocious that day!!! :girlsad3:

Very sad to report that the unbanded juvie was found deceased. Apparently a collision. All 3 had recently been back to the nest and had been caught on cam... :sorrow:
