May 7, 2018 The chicks are still white, but dusty When they stretch their wings, I dont know if all that black is nature or bugs. If those are blood sucking bugs, I'm concerned. No one cleaned their box over winter Pic too large - posted on RRP https://www.raptorresource.org/forum/in ... ic=2391.45 |

Thanks, Loza and Shep for the updates.... Did a quick check yesterday and the little one (male??) was walking around like a big shot with a feather sticking out of his mouth >>> he had picked it up himself!!! Have you noticed that he seems to stay away from the 'girls?' Is that common? (Only guessing at the genders, obviously!) |

From Facebook (approx. 1:15pm): We interrupt your Friday afternoon to bring you this important message: Cuteness overload! Craig Koppie from U.S Fish and Wildlife Service stopped by 100 Light Street earlier today to band the Peregrine eyases. He reports that all four (two male & 2 female) are healthy. 3 of the 4 have been on the 'nursery' side of the fence ever since they were taken for the banding! One brave boy went over the fence when a parent was with them. That happens every year, doesn't it!? They'll probably get back to 'exploring' tomorrow, after their anxiety settles down! |
