nice how she just leaves and comes back with prey.

10:18am- something is up
nope , I think he is eating on ledge. tail going up an d down. thought at first he was posturing. hard to tell but probably eating

yup, he brought prey to ledge

I missed that feed!

How normal is it for the male to keep his head down?
I notice when there is a threat, that head is UP and ALERT!

April 29, 2019 Temp 46-60

INTRUDER (unseen by cam)
10.20 am Barb begins YELLING, Nubo is right there, both looking up
Nubo takes off like a rocket after intruder and Barb goes to doorway and yells
WOW. What a great team they make!
Its a joy to see how protective Nubo is!

12 noon had to be an intruder again but I didnt see it
Barb started yelling, flew out and straight over that red bldg out there!
Nubo came scolding up a storm, guarding, first on bridge, inside nestbox then on roof

Thanks for the coverage...just went through the DVR and saw what you described, shep!!thanks!!!...(and I'm NOT calling the new male Nubo. If history repeats itself, this will be Boh 3!!!) Gosh, hope they weren't defending against Boh 2!!

I think one of the other eggs is pipped!!

both eggs are pipped
Nubo only means new Boh - thats all
and that is exactlly correct - next season - just Boh

My guess is Nubo chased Boh off.

This Barb fought the first Barb in 2015 and did a lotta damage

I was hoping only on e would hatch, it would make it easier , with an intruder out there. We have seen another peregrine on ledge but as I mentioned before, anything that flies, is fair game now. so hop e not a falcom

As near as I can tell,
Nubo ONLY goes inside the nest to protect / guard if there is a threat.
usually he stays outside or on bridge

YAY! Egg 2 hatched!
I thot all 3'd be hatched by day end yesterday
um .. uh .. I was half right! :sum8:

In previous years, ALL Barbs eggs have hatched
Nubo - or NewBoh if you prefer - is VERY protective of nest!
He REALLY wants Barb and is NOT going to harm her kids!
He doesnt dare let harm come to them! LOL!

I really think Nubo chased Boh off
Boh was so meek - sweet but meek - he probly didnt fight
What do YOU ladies think?

I asked earlier - the intruder who landed on the ledge -

HATCH #2
April 30, 2019 Temp 56-80 chance of rain

6.10 am Barb goes to get brekky from their stash and feeds 2 babies
- Clearly Nubo's raised young before, he has nice sized meals stashed
11 pm last nite Egg 2 hatched.
As kids eat I see #3 thru hole in egg 3 eager to get out! Probly today

5.45 Nubo appears with a nice little snack, Barb takes it back to the stash, saying -
- Where were you half hour ago, I already fed em!

8 am Barb is chattering away with Nubo as he stands by - out on the roof
