Continuing to follow Barb silently, but wanted to come in and say how wonderful she is doing under trying circumstances and I hope she is able to maintain this! Two chicks and a pip now. And I really miss Boh! |

HATCH #2 April 30, 2019 Temp 56-80 chance of rain 6.10 am Barb goes to get brekky from their stash and feeds 2 babies - Clearly Nubo's raised young before, he has nice sized meals stashed 11 pm last nite Egg 2 hatched. Will egg 3 hatch? As kids eat I see #3 thru hole in egg 3 eager to get out! Probly today 6.45 Nubo appears with a nice little snack, Barb takes it back to the stash, saying - - Where were you half hour ago, I already fed em! 8 am Barb is chattering away with Nubo as he stands by - out on the roof 10 am feed 1.30 Barb leaves, Nubo comes to guard Baby spins round n round waiting for Mom to return 2 pm and Nubo knows chicks need food, Mom gone half hour - He even goes into the nest and up to comfort chicks by beeking He was on the roof and under the bridge too! 2.10 Mom's home, stands awhile, hoping egg 3 will hatch - its workin hard in there! |

I am confused she has not fed them Last feed I recorded was 10 am I was gone a few hours Could she be waiting for egg 3 to hatch not feeding so these 2 arent too far ahead? Just a wild guess 7.30 pm eastern time Barb and Nubo must be off on a hot date Kids have been alone - and likely HUNGRY |

The adults have been gone for a while, but they both arrived at the same time with food. Terka got a capture of them eating at 2:20. To start out with Barb was too far away with the food. The oldest one moved, but the little one took him forever to move. Finally, he got right in front of her and he got stuffed! The last capture is of her feeding him laying down--she fed him like that for a while. Probably it took so much effort to get in front of her, that he was pooped! |

cat, Terka's pic is Nubo, and he only comfort-kissed them, he didnt feed them. They went from 10 am til 7.45 pm without food. Barb spent a lot of time away from them - LOT of time. That is very weird for hatchlings! Its almost as if Nubo cares more about his adoptees than Mom. OK, call me nuts. * NOTE I couldnt get in here for about an hour today. Tried 3 browsers! |

You know who he reminds me of? Trooper, Durand's mate at Columbus. When I think of Trooper wearing an eggshell for a hat I'm reminded of this new guy! |
