Aloa and Falcao's chicks were ringed the other day, too - it was a busy day in Rome!

ALESSANDRO
Ring: CJ2126
Wing: 126 mm
Weight: 670 gm

FREE
Ring: CJ2127
Wing: 121 mm
Weight: 470 gm

COCISS
Ring: CJ2128
Wing: 90 mm
Weight: 468 gm

The first two hatched 3 days after the chicks of Alice and Virgilio and Aria and Vento, which all started on 10 April, and the last one hatched almost three days later still. Considering that, it hasn't done badly at all in holding its own with the other two, weighing almost the same as one of the others! I'm not making any attempt to guess whether these are males or females...

It's rather worrying and we've been monitoring the situation. One of the problems is gaining access to the site at weekends so if one of the juvies does fall off then it could be critical. As soon as we have any news, I'll post it.

The fourth eyas is back with it's siblings!
Yesterday on the Italian forum I saw a picture of the tower and one falcon was all the way to the left, around the corner as it were, while two other falcons (the parents?) were flying around.
This probably was the wandering one
It has been raining there and all four are drenched .

That's right DEF, I was just going to post something similar.

The tower has a ledge all the way round and the fourth probably went walkabout, being fed by the adults. The picture here (thanks randj) shows four very bedgraggled juvies... and sorry but it's very similar to yours DEF

Aren't they totally cute? I especially like the one where it looks like the chick and the parent are bumping heads.

I am so glad they finally got a good cam for this nest. Streaming would be even better.

If anyone manages to make out some numbers on the ring that this bird has, please let me know :toast . All I can make out from these pictures is what appears to be a "C" ...

Oh man I didn't know we were looking for a number.

What I thought I was seeing here was a juvie that had flown into the window. But no, it was a food fight.

I don't think anybody fell off the ledge.

They're typical adolescents :gaah:

LJames it was only a request IF a number is easy to read. The ring is similar to the type used for "our" peregrines and it's a curiosity more than anything to see if it's one that we "know"
