Just watched for a few minutes - the little one is exhausted from the hard work s/he did today!
(Adorable!)
Mom just sat down to brood. Dad is there, looking around.

The eggs were laid 3 days apart. The other dark egg is up next. The white egg is the youngest.

Thanks for the info Johnisaly...
4:07pm (eastern) Mom feeding chick and blocking the view. Dad is supervising. Chick looks alert and feisty and beautiful (and adorable and ....) :15heartbeat:

(Added just checked google for time zone - is Columbus the same as the east coast?)

The TV station has been reporting on their local newscast that the 2nd egg hatched about 4:15 PM. I have no idea why they are reporting that because as of 6:00 pm I don't see so much as a pip on either of the remaining 2 eggs. I think somebody at the station is seeing double!

Hey Johnisaly - my husband just told me that.

I took these photos @ 5:53 to 5:59 pm then they
turned the cam.

We have one little one and 2 eggs. :sum8:

I agree completely. On the lastest TV report, they changed their imaginary hatching time of egg #2 from 4:15 pm to 3:00 PM! I think someone over there needs an eye doctor!

Johnisaly ...

Did you see one of the adults trying to move the stake?
I was afraid they would hurt themselves...
Also this pm they brought in the yellow/green - stuff...with a parent
having a bit around its talon.

Wish they would take close up of eggs ... there may be a divet near the top of the egg showing with white ...

Yes. There are 4 of those steel rods that are part of the tower assembly. Usually only the 2 rods on the right side are visible in the cam view. Both adults have been trying to move those stakes and lay them down as part of nest construction since they first arrived on location back in April. They will need Superman to help them bend that steel!
:furious:

Also, on the news this evening they interviewed Karen Norris from the Ohio Department of Natural Resources - Division of Wildlife. She did a great job talking about this nest.

I see what you are referring to, but I think that is just an egg pimple.
