I have a view of the eggs and now I am not seeing a pip but it could be in the back. Remind me never to use the word "definitely" again when it comes to pips! Dixie is standing now and looking so I know something is happening.

I've noticed this panting and trembling of back feathers for quite some time. I thought something was amiss. I am very heartbroken right now and need to get away from the computer. In fact I asked Donna about her a couple of weeks ago and she discussed various scenarios with me about her condition. But you know you always hope for the best. I am very sad right now........ but still hoping for a good outcome.

Just getting home and playing catch up...great coverage here everyone..

Current temps:

59 F/15 C (should be very comfortable temps for them)

I can't see Yankee's head, but I can see rapid breathing..so, he's probably panting...

I am currently looking at the outside cam....there is absolutely no ventilation in that box...has it always been like that? I can't remember. Of course, we see lots of boxes that are set back into alcoves, with no ventilation holes.

I wonder what is behind and to the sides of the box that could be adding heat to the box (if anything)

I know, I'm grasping at straws here..

I'm not home most days, so I'm missing a lot viewing, but the few times I have seen Dixie she has just been panting like crazy...There were times last year with Durand (not sure about this year since I've missed so much) that she was panting and fidgiting so much I thought she was gonna pass out...I can remember emailing Donna because she looked like she was in such distress.

Yankee's respiration has slowed down.
