Yes, It was a surprise that she had her first year off...but if you go back to just before egg laying on this thread, or followed on FB, you would be able to put the pieces together, on what happens when peregrines are disturbed at the early times of egg laying.
She may lay early, but they have always hatched late, as we have noted last year, that she starts incubation late.

You're apologizing and I had guessed the 17th for first hatch.... ha ha ha well I am sorry too!!
In the past years I have flipped out thinking they won't hatch at all, and guessed the wrong days Every Year! The only thing consistant is she hatches late!
No Worries Tsusan...we are excited...that is a good thing!!!

Still Two eggs (the light one and a dark one) I did see the other dark one is on it's way! That light one is going to be tough to tell, unless she moves here in a bit, with the direct sunshine on it.

I saw that the red egg pipped good, and possibly the pale egg pipped, but it was in the shadows.... She did the first feeding, and Maurice greeted his baby for the first time too!! All is well, and we may see a second hatch soon! Hopefully they will wait till the sunset or later. The shadow from the bright sunshine is horrible.We have vacation time and fledge watch scheduled already. LOL
