Thanks for your catch yesterday of Mystic corralling the two-some, Catwoman! We are having Very unseasonable weather in Ohio. I actually saw some snow/ sleet flurries this morning! Back at the ranch, er nestbox, Mystic just brought in a whole prey. She started to pluck the feathers and the kids reached in to help. I wonder if this is part of the training process for the kids?

They do seem to do this to teach the kids, and in Harrisburg usually at least once before the kids fledge, a parent will bring in live prey so the kids can figure out how to handle the situation. It isn't an easy thing for us to watch though. :egg15:

Thankyou for the beautiful catches, Loza! I watched that very same chick try to get his/ her foot up on the ledge yesterday. It didn't quite get it up there... Now today it can! Won't be long!
