One on perch preening, one on eggs - panting, but not nearly as heavily as before.

I spoke too soon - panting is heavy.

Seeing the same! It's downright cool this evening.

They had a nest exchange, Yankee out and Dixie in. As soon as she was in there her mouth was open. She tried to settle on the eggs and is now standing in the porch. She is still in the porch as I post these pics.

8:48pm
She went back in to the eggs for a few seconds and is now near the porch; poor thing - must be an oven there tonight.

Still in the porch, panting.

10:23: Dixie standing in front of eggs. I can only see her feet..

11:03 pm eastern~still off the eggs, legs/feet showing..facing in toward the eggs..

I'm off to bed...no late night for me this time..

11:20 pm~I'm still here..and she's still off the eggs. She doesn't appear to be panting, but wings are droopy...can't see her head...

gone for real this time...

I think she knows they aren't viable...and she probably should tell Yankee...he always gets the terrible sun shift..

I took a look at 6:50, too, and the panting looked pretty bad.

7:10am Head not visible, but from tail, looks like the poor thing is going a mile a minute.

I'm having a difficult time looking in on them yesterday and now today. I can't believe how long they have suffered.......... One question keeps going around in my head. Last year there was no problem retrieving the baby chicks from the nest so the construction could begin so why can't someone get those eggs out of there this year for the sake of Dixie and Yankee?

Poor thing (Dad?) sitting on the eggs, staring at the cam with his little beak open.
The other parent is on the perch.

Haven't been watching - just turned on cam. Dad? standing by the dividing board inside nest off of eggs with wings out, mouth partially open. (Like he's trying to cool off.)

No bands so this must be Dixie. She is looking thin to me but it could be the way she is standing.

Panting fairly heavily, sun shining on him.

9:51am Parent on eggs, not panting, but mouth is open.
Parent just squished down on eggs, tried to get comfortable, now panting a bit, mouth open.
