I really want to thank you for the pictures, I just haven't had it in me to look lately.
I have been working 11 & 12 hour days again. I really appreciate it.

Has there been any updates/news about the chicks?
(If it's already been reported - sorry - I can't find anything.)

2 of the chicks are alive & doing friggin AWESOME

Now to see the videos YES videos of the kids and a great picture you have to go to FB
https://www.facebook.com/dawn.dettlaff.1?fref=ts

Peregrine update:
I received a photo and some short videos from Ashley, one of the amazing officers at University Police. She saw one adult and two juveniles Sunday morning. (See images below.)
Also, I just got word from Ellie, one of the remarkable RHDs on campus, who saw a gull harassing one of the juveniles this afternoon. She said they were making quite the racket and the falcon was able to fly off.
Deborah is now going through a molt. I am hoping she stops breaking her primaries off and will be able to fly when her new feathers grow out, but the molt takes time and she needs to be 100% for release because there is a new female in town. Her name is Julia (b/r) 19/W and she is from Chicago Lakeview nest site in 2011.
One final note: I know everyone is anxious to know about Deborah's progress but since there is not a whole lot to talk about until her feathers grow back, I have not written much. I know everyone wants to visit and see her but since she is a wild bird, the presence of people may cause her to lash out and injure herself in the process. Feel free to contact me via Facebook or Messenger and I will tell you what I know. Beka from Aves keeps me informed on any progress but, like I said, there is not a lot to say until she molts...
We are also keeping an eye on the nest box. Eamon, who is the keeper of the camera control, has scanned the box several times. All the chicks are out, and I am trying to locate as many of them as I can. We are now watching the box for signs of a new nest and eggs with Julia. She was seen most recently at the WI River bridge near I90/94 where she made an unsuccessful nesting attempt, so she may make another try at mating yet this year.
