One falcon on the perch catching 40 winks
The other in the box standing over the eggs.

All is quiet and peaceful..........

Looks like Yankee brought Dixie a snack, she's eating outside on the porch.
He did a quick fly around and landed up on the right perch.

(A few minutes ago?,) Parent was beside the eggs with one talon from each foot on each egg, checking temp? (I think my cam was frozen, couldn't see my 'feather!' When I refreshed, they were outside as described above.)

But can a talon "feel"? Isn't it like our nails...or not?

Good point - I wish I was able to get a picture. it actually looked like her foot (feet) touching the eggs.

I think we have Yankee on the eggs and he is panting a lot! Dixie was before Yankee and she was panting also. I was out earlier this morning and it's lovely. Humidity is down and temp is 67/partly breezy.

Looks like Yankee in box on eggs - panting, but not as bad as we've seen in the past. The sun is shining on him.
(He is such a handsome fellow!) :15heartbeat:

Hi friends,
Connie from the Buffalo office at the DEC just phoned. We had a good conversation. It was more than good it was wonderful. We talked about UB and apparently in the spring there was a heating issue in the nest box but that problem has been resolved. This time around it’s normal heat from the weather and the masonry of the building and Connie expects we will be seeing Dixie and Yankee’s chicks soon enough. YAY.

I came away from my conversation with my faith restored! Connie loves the peregrine falcon as much as we all do and is always looking out for their well-being. She, too, has been on pins and needles about UB. Our DEC officers have many decisions to make before they can interfere with a nest. It can’t be an easy job that is for sure!

I have Connie’s direct line. So if I have any concerns about the nest site I will contact my new friend Connie. I am breathing a sigh of relief. Here's hoping for some more babies to watch and love.

Thank you friends for enduring my rants and most of all I wish to thank so many of you for your support.
Sally

Sally, I'm so glad Connie contacted you & gave you the wonderful news! I know you had been really distressed about this situation, so her info & the fact that you are welcome to call her with any questions should help you a lot!
