She was standing on the corner of the nest box, bent over and plop - the egg dropped onto the ledge. Definitely no accident of laying outside the box, it was deliberate. Her tail is hiding egg 2 now if you're watching but I got photos of both right next to each other.

I saw that the 2nd egg was next to the first. I was a little worried at first.

Rhea Mae and Tiago have been together since Aug. 2007..a great pair! Congrats to them on egg #2! :eggthumbup:

my video shows egg laid at between (9;04 and 9:05 ) but it does not matter. take agood look at where number was , look where second one ended up. she is still sitting up there

I just got home but had recording on

Bless her heart..she's so confused!!..can anybody go up there and put those eggs back in the box?

I guess, in this case, old habits are hard to break....she knows she needs to be in the box, but she's got an egg on the floor, so she lays an egg by standing on the lip... :girlsad3:

I hope they aren't cracked either, Bev...I guess we'll find out soon enough if they start falling apart..

that was last egg laid and I thought it looked cracked last night but said nothing as I thought maybe marking and it was dark. The way it came out, it plopped harder than first one.

now when I went to bed, late, she had made no move to egg. adn all yesterday she showed little interest in eggs. Tiago did , but she did not.

I am glad I stated this last night, becasue I was hoping someone would mention this to authorities there. This is not normal to drop these eggs out of box, sheez

I know people do nto want to say things so as not to upset anyone but remember my 2OR when she was challenged and fought and how she came in box. she just sat there. Of course she was challenged again and we did not see her again till the next year. Then there was Harrisburg.

so either something is going on beyond the ledge or she has eaten something .

And that is my thought. And I am just sick about all of this as she is Mariahs daughter. She made it through being stuck in stack and Mirah herself , having to be nursed by Kyver the first part of season, while she was incubating.

I am praying for this to be better.

I got the impression that this second egg had a weak shell, a so-called wind egg. It looks imploded, not broken.

yes, she is in her prime. migrating falocns only stick around till 12, 13 maybe 14 if you are lucky but ones that do nto migrate live longer if all is O.K.

hope things improve

could be DEF but it looked cracked if you look at my video from last night
