Female: Willow Unbanded, 2017 ~ arrived March 2017 to displace KathyQ

Male: Jeffery (b/bl) 52/E 2018 ~ Present 2016 Hatch from Pleasant Prairie Power Plant in Wisconsin. Jeffery and the previous male, Sesenta were alternating seen in February and March 2018 until April 1 when Sesenta was last seen admiring his egg.

January 2019 The Indy Star has changed software and they are not supporting the cams at this time. We have referred this to DNR to locate another sponsor...


Cam - Combo View of Both Cams 2020 cams do not operate. Working on getting new sponsor, etc.

Man about town!
On Christmas day, Bret Fergason a local birding & photography enthusiest found Jeffery 52/E about 7 miles east of Market Tower in the Irvington neighborhood. He decribed the experience as a '"Lifer" Best Christmas present ever'. Bret gave his permission to post his photo and his USGS certificate of appreciation for submitting his sighting. Amy Kearns, DNR biologist confirmed the ID!

No guarantees on this "underground" cam. It is still powered by IndyStar, but it comes and goes.

The links are sporadic at best. I heard that someone will be cleaning the nestbox and the cam lens. I hate to count on anything though.

Amy from the DNR is in Indy and she will clean the box and the cam lens. Here are 2 screen shots I captured. No one there now.

Box and lens clean and sort of repaired.
Amy removed the hanging board from the sign. Apparently the plexiglass lens protector had completly fallen off so she put that back on..
She has seen 2 birds and is attempting to see bands.

Amy saw 2 birds flying as she was on the ledge cleaning the box but could not read bands.
