:eggthumb: It's difficult to separate the chicks, but it looks to be 2 piles with 2 chicks per pile in a nest with many feathers from previous meals scattered about! Their feathers are coming in.

:girlcrazy: Did Mack have any red in his band, I thought it did, but description from page 1 doesn't give any color, so probably remembering the female's bands. Just saw the male a few minutes ago and no color at all, they just look old. Is that how Mack's bands looked?

:15heartbeat: Severe storms hit Petersburg at 11:08 pm EDST. Can see 3 of the 4 chicks and they are against the walls. Even Mom is facing and up against the rear wall. All are wet. The worst part should be over at about 11:30 for the current storm, but more to follow for another 30 minutes or so. Not sure of their storm, but the storm winds across SW Indiana are 35-73 mph. Higher up (not ground wind) winds are 117 mph and does intermingle some.

Weather looks calm this morning and I am trying to count fluffballs. It makes me nervous that they are hopping up and down on the perch.

:eggthumb: Thanks, gigi! I never did see the 4th chick last night, but assumed it was just out of sight of the cam, although before the storms one was up on the lip. I stayed to watch them during the worst of it, till Mom came away from the wall and to the center of the nest, she was looking to the outside and I knew the worst was over for them.

Our sirens sounded several times through the evening even though we didn't get a drop. I thought it was odd till the weather man explained if storms are on your county border, they have to sound the alarms. The storms were just on our northern county border as they swept through.
