I'm a little concerned for Tess as she keeps looking up toward the ceiling constantly..is something walking on top of her nest box or landed there...is there an insect flying around and heavy enough to make noise as it hits the ceiling? She's been doing this > 5 minutes now. Could Nik be up there preening? She did this until almost 1:20.

Caught in mid weird stretch..

Don't know if that's a reflection, poop, scratch, or pip...

Dad was here standing guard for quite awhile and allowed us a full view of the chicks and egg. One chick sat up and tumbled around the egg some while the other 2 slept. Saw what appeared to be 2 teeny pipped places side by side that I hope later will be 1 large pip if indeed that is what they were. I missed the exact moment Dad left and Mom stepped in. She is standing over them now and the view is blocked except for part of 1 sleeping chick.

Dad's guarding again and we have a very good look at the pipped egg currently! Oops, while I was typing Mom came in, Dad left. She is feeding the chicks. It's a blocked feed.

Looks like 1 egg still tucked way under Tess. Temps will be warm so I hope to get a better look at the egg.

Feed in progress! When Mom left with the remains, Dad's talon could be seen on the lip of the nest box, then he finally went down to the chicks to stand guard. He stayed a bit, then left from cam view. Did not see the pipped area from yesterday, but did see what could be a crack forming right on the periphery of the egg. If the egg was tilted just a little more toward us, would be able to tell. Dad popped back in the nest and continued to stand guard. After a bit, he left out of cam view. And he is back in the nest a 3rd time standing next to and looking down at his chicks as I leave.

Somehow one of the chicks made it to the wall against the building while the rest remain on the other side. Have been in several times since the feed earlier this morning and have not seen any brooding of the chicks nor incubation of the possible hatching egg. That feed started more than 3 1/2 hours ago. Just looked again and that egg is hatching I believe!

Mom home finally! She went straight to the chick against the wall as Dad left!
